How are you feeling right now?

Dave Kerzner: Pretty pretty good!

Where is home?

Dave Kerzner:Earth. More specifically Miami.

What do you consider your biggest achievement in your career so far?

Dave Kerzner: Putting out albums of my songs is a big achievement in my book. It takes a lot to do that and I’m proud of the work I’ve done there.

What is your favourite band apart from your own?

Dave Kerzner: If I had to pick one favorite I think it would have to be Genesis.

Is there a song that you wish you had written?

Dave Kerzner: I write the songs I want to write and they have my stamp on them but there are certainly a lot of songs from others that I love and appreciate. All the songs on Wish You Were Here for example.

Can you read music, or have you had any musical training?

Dave Kerzner: I’ve had some and can read very slowly. Every good boy does find style. I mostly play by ear though.

What is your favourite food?

Dave Kerzner: Seafood!

What would always be on your rider?

Dave Kerzner: Protein of some kind. Not good to eat too much pizza and pasta on the road. Lots of water. It’s my favorite drink.

Can you recommend a good book to read?

Dave Kerzner:Catcher in the Rye.

Who is your favourite writer?

Dave Kerzner: JD Salinger

Do you have any favourite television shows and movies?

Dave Kerzner: More into movies than tv. Star Wars, Spielberg films and others like The Shawshank Redemption which is on right now! Breaking Bad was a great tv series I thought. Flight of the Concords and Curb Your Enthusiasm I really like.

Do you have a favourite musical instrument?

Dave Kerzner:I love vintage keyboards, acoustic guitars and world instruments. Favorite would be a nice acoustic piano or guitar to write with.

Who would you most like to work with, either living or dead?

Dave Kerzner: I’d love to work with David Gilmour and a lot of other people. I do get to work with many of my favorite musicians growing up like Steve Hackett of Genesis. As awesome as that I equally like to work with Fernando Perdomo, Randy McStine, Matt Dorsey and all the people I make music with.

What would you be doing if were not a musician?

Dave Kerzner: Writing screenplays probably.

Do you have any plans you can share with us?

Dave Kerzner: It’s a busy year for me. I’m releasing new live albums and concert videos plus a new In Continuum album, a new solo album and some tribute albums plus I’m co-producing Matt Dorsey’s solo album and the McBroom Sisters album. A lot of new music coming! Going to see the band Yes tonight and I have a new project that involves a bunch of them.
